Adaptation 1
Gemma Peramiquel Borjas joins Klaus Fruchtnis and Carmen Cruz, two laureate artists of Pépinières, to explore the theme of displacement and the challenges of erased identity faced by people who immigrate, cross borders, discover new lands and cultures and abandon their roots. For this performance in progress shared with the inhabitants of Montreuil, artists Najati Tayara, Marc Stucki, and Steven Zorrilla add their diverse approaches in writing, music and costume.
Adaption 1 is an interdisciplinary proposal that reflects the emergence of a younger generation of artists capable of initiating shared projects that are responsive to one another within the context of life in the city.
